School of Information Technology (SIT), JNTU in collaboration with Academic Staff College (ASC), JNTU have been conducting a series of training courses on IT Workshop. This workshop is for the faculty from various engineering colleges affiliated to the JNT University.

The IT workshop course has been introduced into the B.Tech curriculum from 2005 onwards. This is one of the courses from the MSIT armoury. IT workshop is an intensive course which enhances the productivity of a student in using the technology efficiently.

The training is conducted by the MSIT faculty in learning-by-doing mode.. Each workshop was conducted for one week. It is a residential program which extensively improves the skills of the faculty in delivering the course. Each participant is given all the resources given for an MSIT, like an independent workstation with dedicated a internet connection, 24x7 lab facility etc... The faculty included Maheedhar Nallapareddy, Lakshmipratha Hari, Prasanna Rambhatla and Murthy DN. Dr. Srinivasa Rao Dean, MSIT was the co-ordinator for the workshops.

Recognition from Vice - Chancellor, Invitees and Participants

The first valedictory function was presided by the JNTU Vice Chancellor Dr. Raja Gopal, directors from SIT and ASC and other faculty from JNTU and various engineering colleges. The mode in which the workshop was conducted was commended by all the attendees.

All the attendees, workshop participants and the Vice Chancellor have recognized and appreciated the way in which the courses are being offered at MSIT.
