I have done Master of Science
in Information Technology with Software Engineering
as my specialization from Jawahar Lal Nehru Technological
University, Hyderabad, India.
Based on my academic performance
and interviews that were conducted I was chosen
for the student exchange program across the MSIT
learning centers. Dr. Raj Reddy felt that the
new west coast campus of Carnegie Mellon University
would be ideally suited for our objective, which
is to understand the concept of learning by doing
and implement these ideas back home in India.
My academic experiences prepares me aptly for
the program since the MSIT program from which
I come is based on the concept of learning by
doing and promotes self paced project centric
learning. Having done several projects related
to Java technologies and open sources I am now
open to learn any new technology and realize that
technology is a medium and what matters is the
end objective. I am familiar with the e-governance
domain and education system in India and have
done projects for small and medium scale industries.
Hailing from a software engineering specialization
I am interested in continuing my research activities
at CMU (particularly in Software Architectures
and Information Security). I am familiar with
software engineering concepts and now look forward
to gain an understanding as to management of software
systems.
Academic Honors
- In my 2yrs of MSIT (Masters of Science in
Information Technology) I did several projects
and studied subjects that are core to the
field of computer science. Also I used the
opportunity to update myself with the latest
technologies.
- I worked in several of the projects related
to e-governance domain many of which are being
implemented by the government of Andhra Pradesh,
India. For the work done in this field I was
awarded a cash prize by the Honorable chief
minister of Andhra Pradesh Mr. N. Chandra
Babu Naidu
- Perhaps the project work that was most
successful and won several accolades is ‘Electronic
Distribution of Examination Papers’.
This system was developed to solve the problem
of examination paper leakage in JNTU affiliated
engineering colleges. This system is being
widely used in 200 engineering colleges across
the state of Andhra Pradesh and also at the
examination branch of JNTU. I was appreciated
by the Vice chancellor of JNTU and was awarded
a cash prize
- I put pioneering effort to introduce the
‘Service Oriented Architecture’
into the e-governance domain by developing
a reference application called ‘Project
Blossom’.
- I worked intensively on Java related technologies
and also used open sources extensively.
- Have lead a team to provide a solution
to automate an enterprise namely, Diamond
Hatcheries Limited.
