Areas of Interest:
Data Mining and Machine
Learning
Software Engineering
Language Processors
I am Interested in
doing my Ph.D. in 'Data Mining and Machine
Learning' at Carnegie Mellon University. Currently I am working on
database applications and database management
systems which are pre-requisites for
Data Mining.
Research Work
- Presently writing a paper on "Mentoring
in Problem Centered Curriculum".
- Research Interests include Query
Optimization in Database management
systems, Data Mining, Machine Learning
and Architectures for software systems.
Projects:
-
I have developed
an Intranet Application for
'Vijai
Electricals Ltd.', whose
manufacturing plant is the first
of its kind in India. For AMTs
it is probably the largest,
fully Integrated, manufacturing
facility in the world outside
USA. This system was developed
to 'Reduce the communication
overhead', 'Enhance Knowledge
sharing process', 'Help Managers
to track decisions' and to 'Provide
training to the staff'. The
entire team was appreciated
by the Chairman of the company.
- I have also developed a 'Data
model for a Broadcasting Industry'
as part of the MSIT curriculum. I have
developed this system for Satyam Computer
Services Ltd. My major contribution
was analyzing Program Management
and Customer Analysis. I have used
ERWin Tool to develop these data
models.
- Another project done by me is
'Course Management System for Jawaharlal
Nehru Technological University'.
This system allows the users to
keep track the syllabus of various
courses offered by the University
over a period of time.
